School Aims

The school believes that its central role is to develop a sense of self-respect and individual worth in all the children we teach, and to develop a capacity to live as independent, self-motivated adults, who live and work in co-operation with others.

We aim to:

Ø      developing lively, enquiring minds that have a positive wish to learn, to question and to argue rationally and to apply themselves intelligently to tasks;

Ø      enabling all children to maximise their learning potential;

Ø      providing a broad Christian Education at the highest standards across all aspects of the National Curriculum;

Ø      teaching respect of the religious, spiritual and moral values of others, and to consider thoughtfully their own attitudes, values and beliefs;

Ø      developing a sense of self-respect and self-discipline within a safe environment and to encourage the capacity to grow into self-motivated adults able to function as full members of society;

Ø      enabling the child to become spiritually aware and to develop both a sense of moral responsibility and of purpose;

Ø      staff, governors, parents and children working together as members of a team;

Ø      providing an example and encouragement for children to develop their social awareness, pride in working to the best of one’s abilities and a promoting a positive and persistent attitude to learning.
